CHARTER STANDARD SUCCESS

The club is proud to announce that it achieved Charter Standard Club Status in July 2009.

The award was formally presented to the club at a ceremony in the MK Dons Stadium in October.  Former Chairman John Dearlove and his wife Debbie had the honour of collecting the award on behalf of the club, in recognition of their sterling work over the years in helping the club reach the standards required.

The Club

The club was formed in 1986 and is now proud to run 14 teams across 11 age groups ranging from Under 7 (school year 2) to Under 15 (school year 10). Our players come mainly from Preston & Gawcott, Buckingham, Winslow and other surrounding villages.

We are affiliated to the Berks and Bucks FA and we play in both the Milton Keynes Nursery 7’s, Milton Keynes & Border Counties and the Bucks Girls Football leagues.

The Season

The season normally starts at the beginning of September and runs until May, although bad weather or a good cup run can extend the season into the summer months, when some of the teams also like to participate in various local tournaments.

The older teams normally train at least once per week, (with a break for Half term and Christmas) and play matches every week between September and March. The younger teams usually have matches and training on alternate weeks.
